New Products Meeting Exceptional Performace

CLX Series: High Performance, Fixed-Frequency, Low Noise

The CLX Series is designed as a non-programmable, fixed-frequency unit in a small, 0.75in x 0.75in package. The unit is offered as a ceramic resonator based oscillator for exceptionally low phase noise. Optimized loop performance for overall low RMS noise and available at fixed frequencies from 200 MHz to 4 GHz. References available up to 250MHz, RoHS compliance available, buffered outputs up to +13dBm.

Applications: DRO replacement, fixed LO for up/down converters, SAW replacement based PLL, microwave point to point radios.

THOR Series: Smallest, Lightweight X/Ku Band Synthesizer

The THOR Series frequency synthesizer from EM Research is the smallest and lightest X and Ku Band synthesizer on the market with uncompromising performance. Available in frequency bands (fixed or programmable) from 1 to 18 GHz, the THOR Series offers less than 1 watt power consumption, large bandwidths greater than 2 GHz, and comes in a small package of just 2.5in x 1.1in x 0.35in. Available with fast switching speeds of less than 250 µsecond band edge to edge and less than 100 µsecond channel to channel. The units are designed for high-reliability and high vibration environments and operate at a temperature range between -40°C to +85°C.

Applications: Airborne platforms, UAV, flight surveillance, Radar, telemetry data-links, EW, broadband receivers.

FST Series: Less than 1 microsecond switching speed

EM Research proudly introduces a new line of frequency synthesizers, the FST Series, designed for extremely fast switch speeds of less than 1 µsecond and less than 1 µsecond delay. This cost-effective, narrowband programmable test source is available in custom bands up to 6600 MHz and custom step sizes down to 1 KHz. The FST Series offers low power consumption and low phase noise characteristics, -110 dBc/Hz @ 100 KHz, as well as, phase coherent switching and parallel binary frequency control. The FST units operate at a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C and supply voltage of +5V @ 500 mA typical and comes in a small package of just 3.5” x 2.5” x 0.6”.

Applications: Narrow to wideband DS synthesizer, programmed test source for Digital Radio, SATCOM, Radar and other communications equipment.
