New SLFS Series: Dual Output Frequency Synthesizers, Up to Four Selectable Fixed-Frequencies
The SLFS-7500 frequency synthesizer from EM Research features selection of up to four fixed output frequencies up to 7.5 GHz. Switching between frequencies is controlled by binary command logic with <1 mSec switching speeds. The SLFS units feature excellent phase noise (e.g. <-105 and <-100 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz, 1 GHz and 3 GHz respectively), output power of + 7 dBm, and a supply of +12 VDC. The SLFS units are housed in a connectorized small aluminum alloy housing measuring 1.5” x 1.5” x 0.6”.
Applications: The multiple-frequency select SLFS-7500 was originally designed for aircraft test support systems and is an ideal solution for lab / test environments and other test support systems requiring fast switching between multiple outputs.

New PN Series: High Performance SMT Frequency Synthesizers Improve Air Traffic Alert Systems
The PN-1090 frequency synthesizer from EM Research was designed to enhance the performance of Mode Select (Mode S), Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance (TCAS), and Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon Systems (ATCRBS). The unit utilizes internal frequency control logic capable of switching between the up and down-link frequencies of 1030 and 1090 MHz. The unit also features an internal reference, power output of +7 dBm, and low phase noise (<-95 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz). The PN-1090 operates over the standard temperature range of -55°C to +85°C and is able to withstand high levels of vibration and shock. All PN synthesizers are housed in a small surface-mount package (0.9” x 0.9” x 0.15”).
Applications: Air traffic alert systems, mobile radios, point-to-point / multi-point radios, 2G and 3G Repeaters, wideband transceivers and other satcom and commercial wireless applications requiring a surface-mount part with high-rel capabilities.

New HLX Series: Smallest Integrated SMT X-Band Frequency Synthesizer on the Market
The HLX-10000 from EM Research is the microwave industry’s smallest integrated X-Band fixed-frequency synthesizer operating at 10 GHz with a 50 MHz reference. The unit features good phase noise, (<-80 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz), with high-vibration tolerance, (0 dB degradation up to 6 G’s RMS). The unit also features low spurs (<-60 dBc), low sub-harmonics (<-60 dBc), and low power consumption. The HLX-10000 is housed in a hermetically-sealed, surface-mount package (0.81” x 0.81” x 0.15”) and is manufactured to MIL-STD-883 and IPC-A-610 classifications. Standard operating temperature for all HLX units is -40°C to +85°C. Custom units can be designed from 200 MHz to over 13 GHz.
