Designed as a hermetically-sealed synthesizer for air-to-sea Directional Network System (DNS) communication links
RENO, NEVADA, AUGUST 31st, 2016
The THOR-14000-XB is a 12.75 to 14 GHz hermetically-sealed frequency synthesizer designed for air-to-sea Directional Network System (DNS) communication links. The high performance synthesizer is designed for use in a mission critical communications mesh network and features fast 1 MHz channel switching for quick acquisition (<400 µSec. Band-Edge to Band-Edge) and a wide, Ku-Band architecture for broad spectrum range support.
The THOR-14000-XB locks to an external 10 MHz reference and exhibits low phase noise (<-91 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz). The unit has output power of +7 dBm, harmonics <-30 dBc, spurs <-60 dBc, and draws 420 mA current while supplied to +5V. Programming is achieved via 3.3V TTL Serial Logic (3-Wire; Clock, Data, Enable) format. This highly robust package (2.5” x 1.1” x 0.4”) is built to withstand high levels of vibration and shock and operates across temperatures from -40° C to +85° C with extended temperatures available.
